FHSRELR - Ancestor/Descendant/Relative Report Program
- New Use of Function Keys -
- F1 used to Select Family File from list (CTRL+F1 "jumps" to program FHSFILE)
- F2 used to Select Printer Setup from list (CTRL+F2 "jumps" to program FHSPRTC)
- F6 used to Print Reports (instead of F5); (CTRL+F6 "jumps" to program FHSRPTS )
- F7 used to Switch to different Mode (Ancestor/Descendant/Relative) of program
- Creation of Work File allows Descendant Search by Generations OR by Families - this was done to avoid problems that occured for some persons who had crossed family lines, when printing reports with descendants grouped by families, while the work file was built with descendants gathered by generations. (The first occurance of a repeated relative in a generation grouping may not be the same as the first occurance in a family grouping.) Now, the work file and report may be generated using the same grouping strategy, avoiding these anomalies.
- Support for Matrilineal/Patrilineal relationship systems
- Ancestor/Descendant Summary Reports and Relative Table moved to this program (from FAMSUMRY program - Actually, the FAMSUMRY program may still produce these reports, as well as the Surname Summary report, because it provides the additional option of allowing you to print the reports for only Selected individuals from among those in the relationship Work File...for instance, you could print a Relationship Table showing the occurance of all relatives with Surname BROWN.)
- Ancestor/Descendant/Relative Detail reports which include All Spouses allows multiple spouses to be printed in First to Last sequence (instead of most recent to least recent, which is the order that the marriages are stored in the file).
- Ancestor/Descendant Summary Reports can be produced in either Horizontal or Vertical format
- Ancestor/Descendant Duplicates Reports show ID's that occur multiple times in Ancestor/Descendant work file
- The Relative Table has been transposed (Ancestor Generation Level now across top, Relative Generation Level extends down side); this arrangement doesn't require as wide page for printing and may appear a bit more natural.
- Relationship Labels are customizable (short, medium, Long)
- Birth/Death dates and places may come from BIRT/BAPT/DEAT/BURI Event records
- Additional Stats in summary reports
- # of continued Lines from previous generation level
- # Duplicate ID's (indicating multi-relationships, crossed family lines)
- Able to set min/max separation between columns of information
- Prompted for printing additional "strips" for wide reports
