FHS - Sept 1997 Update

This is to announce that the "current" update to the Family History System software is now the Sept 1997 Update, replacing the "Jan 93 Update". This latest update has been developed over the past 4 years. Preliminary copies of the public version of this update have been available from this site since March 97. The previous manuals have been combined into a single manual which has been prepared as a MS Word document. The full manual is available, in sections, for download from this site. The public version of the software is also available here.

While this update remains a DOS application with few changes to the user interface or family file format, there have been a large number of enhancements, many in response to user requests. See the following items for more information about this update.
