The "Violin"


The "Violin" is a stringed instrument with a fretless finger board that produces notes by bowing or plucking the strings.


The 3/4 and 4/4 size instruments shown here are ones that my son played in a youth orchestra. We are holding them until his daughters take an interest in the instrument. He began on a 1/2 size instrument but quickly outgrew it. The WIKIHOW articles on "How to Play the Violin" and "How to Practice Violin" provide excellent instruction for beginning to learn how to play.
